Happy Days Preschool

Happy Days Preschool, a community outreach of the Central Schwenkfelder Church, is dedicated to providing a Christian environment that will enhance the development of children socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and spiritually, while conveying to each child how special God has made him or her.

Our Mission Statement

Happy Days Preschool offers developmentally appropriate programs for children from three years old through five years old. Our Preschool, which has served the surrounding communities since the fall of 1975, prides itself on its commitment to the education of the whole child. Most importantly, we convey to each child how special God has made him or her. Our play-based curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate through play.

Programs

Three Year Olds

Our Three-Year-Old Program supports early socialization and learning. Children build confidence through sensory experiences, encouraging curiosity and skill development in various areas such as color recognition, counting, motor skills, cooking, science, music, and art. Our curriculum focuses on the process more than the product and is supplemented by field trips, feasts, programs, and visits to enhance learning.
2 day: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00am-12:00pm
3 day: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm
Four Year Olds

Our curriculum is geared toward getting your
child ready for Kindergarten socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Each child will be able to recognize their letters and numbers, classify patterns, opposites, and sequencing, and improve fine development through writing, cutting, and more. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math are
incorporated in our curriculum. Concepts such as graphing and sorting are part of our monthly
themes. Science experiments are done weekly.
3 day: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm
4 day: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00am-12:00pm
Extended Session

These classes meet until 2:00pm on Monday and Wednesday following the morning session. This extra time at school gives children the opportunity to continue socializing with peers as well as supplement their knowledge of the curriculum. Language and math skills are reinforced weekly. Literature based activities are also an important part of the curriculum. Also included are opportunities for cooking and art projects.
4 day (for Four Year Olds) : Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday extending until 2:00pm (including a lunch break)
